The Parish of Christ Church in the City of Selkirk Manitoba is looking for a full-time ordained Incumbent, who will work as a collaborator in planning with the lay leaders of the parish to move forward into a post pandemic future.

Selkirk is in easy commuting distance to the City of Winnipeg, as well as Lake Winnipeg, Lake Manitoba, and Whiteshell Beaches and Provincial Parks.  Selkirk offers excellent educational, medical, recreational programs, and social amenities. https://www.myselkirk.ca

The Anglican Parish of Christ Church has been in Selkirk for over 140 years.  The original Church was demolished, and a new church was built in the same location in 2000 and offers up to date building accessibility, and technology.  Many parishioners are multi-generational and have a great pride in their family connection to the parish.  Our parish is a combination of senior parishioners, as well as younger families who participate in Sunday School.  One thing that is important to Christ Church is to welcome all who wish to attend whether they are new to the community of Selkirk or who were children who attended Sunday School and now wish to resume their church attendance.  We strive to be a welcoming and friendly parish.  https://christchurchselkirk.com

We are involved in outreach offering our building for community groups looking for a place to meet, supporting the food bank, meals on wheels program, and we are always open to where we can offer our services.

The parish is eager to have an Incumbent who will be an involved member and collaborative leader both in our church and in the community working with and supporting the lay leadership within the parish.  We are looking for a personable, outgoing, approachable, compassionate, person who can communicate with all types of people within the parish and the community.

We are wanting to work with an Incumbent who can work with us and bring innovative, creative ideas to the worship and music of our parish and offer outreach in new and unique ways.  We want to work with someone who is a team player, utilizes new technologies, and who is always looking for a better way to enhance the life of the parish.  We look forward to welcoming a new Incumbent to our parish and will do our best to support him or her and their family as members of our parish, and to help them integrate into our community of Selkirk.
