Alongside Hope has been connecting Anglicans in Canada to people in need since 1958. Once named for the Primate, the head of the Anglican Church in Canada, in 2024 the mebership approved our new name.
Alongside Hope supports projects in Canada and around the world in collaboration with local partners who understand the cultural, social, economic and political contexts of the communities and people they serve. This knowledge is invaluable for designing and implementing programs that respond to the specific challenges community members encounter. In Canada, volunteers are key to engaging Anglicans about the humanitarian relief and development work (health, empowering women and girls, food security and climate change, and Indigenous programs) our partners are doing.

Anglican Grow Hope – is a Diocesan initiative to support PWRDF’s work through the Canadian Foodgrains Bank.
Grow Hope has three purposes:
** To grow a crop in Canada to create revenue for the alleviation of hunger around the world through Canadian Foodgrains Bank and its member, Alongside Hope.
**To engage urban non-farming individuals, families, churches and groups in the farming process and in the alleviation of hunger in the world by inviting them to provide funds to cover the input costs of raising a crop in Canada.
**For non-farmers to learn about farming and food production in Canada, about the challenges of food production and about the people whose lives and health depend on food relief and/or food related development projects.
